Women are significantly underrepresented in the tech industry - only 18% of the tech-related jobs are held by females. This is, in part, due to the fact that the pipeline of female tech talent is very small.
For instance, if we look at the % of female students in STEM subjects, we see it’s only 35%. And, if we look at the one in ICT subjects, it’s 19% in OCDE countries (and 12% in Spain).
We want to contribute to solve this systemic issue, and reduce the tech gender gap, and we feel we are exceptionally positioned to make an impact because:
- We’re on the path to become the biggest tech hub in South of Europe and for us, empowering girls and women is the right thing to do.
- We know representation matters and because of this, we want to guarantee that our services are designed for everyone by everyone (including women).
- We have a large tech team, and a relevant % of them is open to mentor more women and become role models for the next generation of women and girls.
- We have very “cool” offices around the world, that will help girls picture what’s a day to day in tech like
GOALS
We want to reduce the gender gap in tech positions by empowering more women so that more of them end up pursuing a career in tech.
